Route 1 up the Maine coast: Tributary's classic ales in Kittery, Sacred Profane's dedicated lager house in Biddeford, Batson River's distillery and scratch kitchen in Kennebunk, and the Allagash / Definitive / Belleflower trio in Portland.
Founded by Tod Mott, creator of the original Harpoon IPA recipe. Classic English ales, German pilsners, and stouts. Dogs not currently allowed.
A dedicated lager house: only a pale and a dark lager, both triple-decocted, open-fermented, and naturally carbonated in horizontal tanks.
Started on a Kennebunkport farm in 2014. House spirits, craft beer, and an upscale scratch kitchen, steps from Dock Square. Heated private "Fish Shacks" run December through winter.
Founded 1995. Known for Allagash White and its wild/sour fermentation program. Dog-friendly covered patio. Tours book out weeks ahead.
Hazy New England IPAs and fruited pastry sours/stouts. Garage-door patio, directly across from Allagash. Family- and dog-friendly.
