Active Ingredient Brewing is the Malta brew-lab of Brian, a pharmacist who moved from homebrew kits to a commercial brewery, and the science theme runs through beer names like Freudian Sips and Both Alive & Dead. The taproom in Sitwell Plaza on Route 9 pours house beers and hard ciders, runs a full kitchen, and has a patio where dogs are welcome; Tree House Brewing is just down the road.
