Lindenhurst natives Ryan Cooke and Melissa Bates-Cooke opened 27A Brewing in 2019 in a roughly 120-year-old building that once held a butcher shop, keeping quirks of the original structure in the tasting room. Beer is brewed about 100 gallons at a time and the tap list rotates constantly, alongside a short cocktail menu. There is a beer garden with picnic tables, and crowlers are filled to go.
